DJ Phil

DJ Phil is certainly the youngest and oldest Ecstatic Dance DJ in France. Brought up on Pop/Rock and sacred (Christian) songs, he discovered world music in the 90s with Peter Gabriel's Passion album, the soundtrack to Scorsese's film The Last Temptation of Christ. A turning point in his musical culture.

CAREER & REFERENCES

After years of dancing in Biodanza, Dance Medicine and 5 Rhythms, he discovered Ecstatic Dance at a retreat in Corfu. Touched to the core by so much joy, lightness and depth in the same container with a population as eclectic in age as in origin, it was a real revelation for him. It was an obvious choice: to create Ecstatic Danse sessions and offer them to the world.

ROLE IN THE FESTIVAL

DJ Phil is one of the Festival's artists, providing musical accompaniment for the Cocoa Ceremony and the Escatic Danse session, and for Chill Out moments at the end of the day by the pool or elsewhere!
